Gallery: Tesco Mill Road delivery issues

This gallery was last updated on Tuesday 15th January 2008.

Photos from Sedgwick Street and associated lorry parking examples from around the Cambridge area, demonstrating the problems cyclists and walkers face in this area due to vehicle movements.

The CEN reported on 14th December 2007 as follows:
"... a 20mph speed limit could be installed in Mill Road after 86 injury accidents on either side of the bridge in the last three years. The accident rate puts Mill Road at number three in the rankings of 195 accident blackspots in Cambridgeshire. Sixty per cent of the accidents involved cyclists."

Deliveries on Mill Road cause a blockage. However, there is probably little alternative given the layout of the streets. It is essential that any new planning permissions allocate off-street delivery areas.
