Gallery: Romsey Cycle Parking

Proving the demand exists for cycle parking in Romsey Town

This gallery was created on Sunday, 11th March 2007.

Cycles parked on the pavement as far as the eye can see on Thoday Street - proof of the demand for cycle parking. Desperate need for cycle parking in Romsey. With nowhere to park bikes on the street I'm forced to struggle to get my bikes in and out of the house like this, followed by a walk along the narrow footway to get to a wide enough gap between the parked cars. James and Lisa demonstrating the oblique cycle parking proposals, during the night survey group. Four bikes to be parked indoors at the house opposite. cycle parking cycle parking Complete lack of cycle parking on the highway forces cyclists to do this sort of thing. The pavement is totally blocked.

(The exact time and date shown were estimated.) No where for bikes to park in Romsey. cycle parking More proof of the need for cycle parking in these residential streets. Bikes attached to street posts and on the pavement at night. What is blocking the pavement here? It looks like the bikes are in the way but in reality it's the cars which are taking up half the pavement space through legalised pavement parking. This scaffolding has only been here a few minutes and look how many bikes are blooming already. Six or seven bikes parked outside a house in Romsey.
